Sleep Innovations mattress review

We all know how important it is to buy the right mattress to ensure that we have a blissful night of sleep. Buying the wrong mattress can sometimes be the culprit of not sleeping that well. We as human beings need an average of 8 hours sleep per day and this is why it is so important that we are as comfortable as possible.

How far would you go to find the perfect mattress for your and your partner? Luckily you do not have to go too far because, in this Sleep Innovations review, I will go into everything that you need in order to choose the right mattress.

Summary of what you can expect

First of all, I will cover the types of memory foam that Sleep Innovations has to offer. It is also very important that your body type fits with the right type of texture that the mattresses have to offer.

The 4 types of memory foam

Sleep Innovations is a type of mattress that specializes in memory foam. I have written other articles on brands that also include memory foam and you can read my Simmons Beautyrest Hybrid review and Ikea Mattress review. They have 4 types of memory foam where each one has its own function:Memory foam mattress (1)

1. SureTemp memory foam

This type of memory foam is great for maintaining a neutral temperature throughout the mattress. When the air flows through this type of memory foam, it allows for the heat to also get out.

2. Cooling Gel Memory foam

This is the type of foam that allows a very cool temperature throughout the mattress. The cooling gel is in the form of small beads that absorbs most of the heat inside the mattress. The gel beads are so small, that you will not feel them at all.

3. Air channel foam

This type of foam is almost the same as the SureTemp, bit it is a stiffer than the SureTemp. The end result will be more support without obstructing the airflow.

4. Support plus foam

As the name implies, it is thicker and firmer for more support and stability.

Why we need to match sleeping type to the right mattress

Have you ever laid down on a mattress in your favourite position and realized almost instantly that this mattress was not for you?

Your body type, favourite sleeping position, and preference will have a huge effect on whether you will sleep comfortably or at all. So let us go into the 3 main sleeping type mattresses out there.

aligned spine (1)

First, we have the stomach sleeper. This type of sleeper needs a very firm mattress because the middle of the body must not sink in too deep into the mattress. The spine was not meant to bend in that direction which is very important.

The second type of sleeper is the back sleeper. This type of sleeper needs a softer mattress than the firm, but it still needs to be firm enough for the spine to be in aligned.

The third type of sleeper is the side sleeper. Because a lot of pressure will be focused on the hips and shoulder area, it is very important that the mattress will allow your body to sink a bit more into the mattress. For this type of sleeper, the softest mattress is best.
